Why is Sarah Harding like Kate Middleton?

Thursday, January 13th, 2011

See any similarities???

Me thinks Kate is re-setting Royal trends!
Its not nice to compare her to Princess Diana, but boy have we missed a decent Royal female in our lives!

Good luck to you ladies!!

Shoes to brighten up your day!

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

There’s nothing to say you have to wear ‘Bridal shoes’ is there?! I have been looking and not found anything that I would consider me.

So I have gone a little alternative!

Here are some I am considering…
Let me know what you think!!

Irregular Choice

River Island

Maybe a bit high for me… eeek.

Ok so I will reign it in a bit as I have a massive crush on these shoes! I think they are a great colour for any seasonal wedding…

Faith Shoes at Debenhams

Its most annoying I can’t find a pic I can show you of the back : (
They are lovely though…
I don’t think there is a limit on how many pairs you can wear either?! I frequently see the sandals come out during the day! Em had some lovely white flip flops!

Kate Edmondson & Zank You Bridal Event – Piccies!

Wednesday, October 6th, 2010

Hello Wednesday!

A few weeks ago, we told you all about the Kate Edmondson and Zank You bridal event taking place in London – and here is a sneak follow up of the evening!

The event was held at the beautiful wedding venue Chandos House near Oxford Street. Brides were welcomed with a champagne reception and canapes, with music by harpist Lisa Evans.

Models wore dresses by Kate Edmondson, and they were displays from Jo Barnes Vintage, Olivia Soleto Wedding planning services, Rachael Simpson shoes and florist Jasmine Florist. There was also an introduction to the House of Fraser Wedding List, and bridal life coach Michelle Paradis was also on hand!

The event, which was also attended by Perfect Wedding magazine editor Helen Webster, also saw several brides win some pretty cool prizes.

Cecilia Hermida won a Jo Barnes vintage tiara, and fellow bride Melissa Smallshaw was the lucky winner of a full wedding planning service from Olivia Soleto.

At the end of the day, all the lucky brides got to go home with a goody bag which included Bellapierre mineral make up and favour chocolates from Green and Blacks online.

Sounds like a pretty cool night to us – stay tuned for details of more bridal events coming your way!

Tobi Hannah Wedding Dress Collection

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Hello wedding cadets!

I had an email the other day from a very lovely designer called Tobi Hannah.  They have a collection of the most fab short and tea length wedding dresses that I have seen so far!

I think they would be perfect for a chic city wedding, or even as a second dress to wear in the evening!

Check out their website to see more gorgeous designs! I wish I had seen these (or had the legs to wear one :-) )!

For the Love of Lace

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

As per usual, I have been swept away in the romance of a wedding. Better still, my wedding!!

In my whistful mood I am love love loving Lace.

These are a few of my lusts….

Oscar Dela Renta

Monique Lhuiller

Dreamy dresses…. Namely because, unless they are very end of season & cut in half, I couldn’t afford them! But they are great inspiration for what I’m looking for & a whistful romantic theme….

Please let me know if you find something to share!

The Ring for your Finger

Sunday, September 5th, 2010

No I haven’t gone all Lord of the Rings on you this cloudy Sunday… But I think Rob might beg to differ as I persuade him to hit the shops with me this afternoon!!

I found these this week in my searching & simply had to share!

Ok, I can’t afford the half of it! But that doesn’t mean you can’t.
Pondering your wedding bands?
Ready to get another ring on it??
Get a load of these lovlies…

Ungar & Ungar

Ok, ok, a bit Pricey?! I can smell the expense of these!! So we might not be allowed in the shop to look at them, not if they smell the poverty on us, but they are great inspiration for me to get an idea of what I would like- doesn’t mean I can’t find it cheaper, or have something similar made.

I’m also a huge fan of Dower & Hall. I always have to pop in & have a browse…
I simply love this one.. Its engraved “Never forget Me”. Might not be weddingy or romanitic for you all, but it is to me!

Happy hunting All!

Oh & if you have anything you’d like to share with us… charlotte@electricwedding.co.uk OR make your comment & a link below…

The Wedding Dress Source

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Dresses, dresses, dresses.

Its a mine field & with so much choice, where do you start??

Well, here’s a tip or two… Emma passed onto me a special book to help me on my way!
Its been a dreamy read & I have some really lovely ideas about what I want, well, what I think I want.

But I do know I want to share this with you all!

I have also been told by countless Brides that I shouldn’t assume anything. Once you start trying dresses on you will see.
“They are nothing like any clothes shopping you have ever experienced…” I hear.

Well, I’m excited to start but I have a while to wait yet!!
Time to shop!

Flower Girls….

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Hello Wednesday!

Now, I am going to spend a whole post today just on one little area. And that is bridesmaids! I looked everywhere for bridesmaid dresses I liked for my wedding. And as any of you who read my previous post on the subject will know, it wasn’t without its drama’s!

Yes indeed – I hunted high and low, and when I finally found the dress I liked – the shop assistant called me the day before (yep, the day before) to cancel it (having waited 5 weeks) because they no longer stocked the dress. Step forward my friend Greenwood, who saved me from a bridal rage I never thought there was! G-wood drove me to Brent Cross, where she walked up and down the aisle of the changing room, trying on dresses for me!

My girls dresses were from Monsoon and I loved them! They looked so pretty with the flowers, they all looked so beautiful and colourful! I loved it! My bridesmaids were my friends Cazza and Rachael, my sister Helen and my Maid of Honour Alex.

They all also had flowers in their hair (flowers from Libby Ferris) which looked so pretty!

As a present I got them all a little silver necklace which said ‘Love’, which they all wore on the day. Below is me, my sister and my mum! Look how lovely my mum looks! Her outfit is from Jaques Vert.

Now I also can’t let this post go by without mentioning a very special little person! My oldest friend Lizzie’s little girl Isabella. Miss Isabella is almost 3, and she was my flower girl!

She pretty much stole the show.

She wore a bright pink fairy dress with wings from Lucy Locket, and instead of flowers carried a butterfly wand. She had a halo of flowers in her hair and wore little gold sandals from Monsoon. She looked gorgeous against the sea green bridesmaid dresses!

Here she is posing like a true superstar!

Matt, his dad, my dad, and the best man Tom all wore candy coloured striped ties. His groomsman who were our friends Jonny and Andy plus his four brothers Tom, Jona, Lolly and Seb all wore the same tie but polka dotted. Here is my favourite picture!

Hope you liked!

Love
